Photovoltaic cell applied science converts sunlight into directcurrent electricity. This line of descent can be a possible solution to solve the energy crisis as well as theglobal warming issue.Introduction-Energy crisis has remained a top concern in the world today. Fossil fuels, the most widelyused energy source in the U.S. and in the world, is rapidly being depleted due to the fastconsumption rate. Since we are highly depended on oil for transportation, cooking, andcommunicatio n in our daily lives, the oil storage is starting to run out and eventually it will be allgone. Petroleum oil is always considered as a cheap energy source however, the price of oil per barrel and per gallon has gone up significantly worldwide. The price of oil has already passed$60 per barrel, due to the energy crisis and oil shortages (Crude Oil Futures Prices NYMEX,2005). The increased oil prices and the limited energy resources will have a great doctor to theglobal economy where stock prices fall, unemployment rates increase, economic recession and inflation can occur.
